Aruba Airport Experiences Continued Growth in October 2025

Aruba Airport reported a steady increase in travel demand and a positive outlook for the upcoming winter season in October 2025.

Passenger Numbers and Seat Capacity

During the month of October, the airport handled 120,046 revenue generating passengers (RGP), a 5. 5% increase compared to the previous year. Seat capacity also saw a slight increase, reaching 145,587 seats, a 1. 5% increase. The number of aircraft movements also rose to 1,076 departures, a 2% increase. The average load factor for the month was 87. 8%, a 1. 6 percentage point increase from the previous year.

From January to October 2025, the airport welcomed 1,372,382 RGP, a 4. 4% increase from the same period in 2024. Seat capacity reached 1,657,156 seats, a 0. 9% increase, and there were 11,822 flight departures, a 3. 2% increase. The average year-to-date load factor was at a strong 87. 4%, a 1. 1-point increase from 2024.

Market Trends

The United States remained the largest source market for Aruba during the January to October period, with a 69% market share. Despite a slight decline in overall seat capacity, the US market saw a 0. 8% increase in RGP.

The Canadian market also showed strong performance, with a 12. 7% increase in RGP and an 11. 3% increase in seat capacity. This can be attributed to sustained demand and expanded service offerings.

Latin America had one of the strongest performances, with a 19. 7% increase in RGP and a 14. 8% increase in seat capacity. This growth was driven by enhanced connectivity and new route additions.

The Dutch Caribbean and Caribbean markets also saw solid results, with an 11. 9% increase in RGP and a 1. 8% increase in seat capacity.

On the other hand, Europe saw a decline in RGP by 1. 8% and a 19. 5% reduction in seat capacity compared to the same period in 2024. This was primarily due to British Airways’ suspension of its London Gatwick-Aruba service in March 2025.

Winter 2025-2026 Outlook

Aruba Airport is predicting further growth for the 2025/2026 winter season, with an 8% increase in overall seat capacity.

In the US market, seat capacity is expected to grow by 8. 3% due to several airline developments, including American Airlines launching daily service from Chicago, United Airlines expanding to daily Washington service and adding five weekly flights from Chicago, and JetBlue introducing a three-times-weekly route from Fort Lauderdale while increasing frequencies to Boston and New York.
