Frontier Airlines Announces Expansion and Potential Inflight Wi-Fi

Denver-based low-cost carrier, Frontier Airlines, has recently announced a major expansion of four routes covering six U. S. cities. This includes new service from the New York City area to Orlando, as well as a flight that will grab the attention of one of the largest U. S. carriers.

New Routes and Destinations

Frontier is focusing on expanding its service to warm-weather destinations during the upcoming winter months. These new routes are set to launch between early January and mid-February, making it a quick turnaround.

– Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Orlando International Airport (MCO), which will operate three times per week and launch on January 21st. – MCO to Pensacola International Airport (PNS), with twice-weekly service starting on February 13th. – Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) to Tucson International Airport (TUS), operating twice per week and launching on January 22nd.

In addition to these new routes, Frontier will also be bringing back service between Miami International Airport (MIA) and O’Hare International Airport (ORD), a route it previously served in 2022. This daily service will restart on February 13th and operate three times per week.

Inflight Wi-Fi on the Horizon

Frontier Airlines is also making headlines with its plans to introduce inflight Wi-Fi on its planes.
