JetBlue Announces Expansion of Florida Routes with Low Fares

JetBlue, a popular low-cost airline, is expanding its services to multiple cities in Florida. This includes new routes to the Dominican Republic from Tampa and Fort Lauderdale, as well as resuming service to Daytona Beach and Vero Beach with flights to New York and Boston. These new routes are scheduled to begin in December 2025, with some routes ending in April 2026.

Expansion of Florida Routes

JetBlue has announced its plans to add more Florida routes this winter, responding to the growing demand for affordable and convenient travel options to the Sunshine State. The airline is offering flights for as low as $49, making it an appealing choice for travelers.

According to Dave Jehn, JetBlue’s vice president of network planning and airline partnerships, Florida continues to be a popular destination for the airline’s customers due to its combination of low fares and great service. He also expressed excitement about bringing more choices and better service to these new markets.

New Routes to the Dominican Republic

JetBlue is introducing new international routes to the Dominican Republic, with daily flights from Tampa and Fort Lauderdale. Fares for these routes start at $139, making it an affordable option for travelers. The airline is also offering weekly seasonal routes to Long Island, New York from Tampa and Fort Myers, with fares starting at $49. These new flights are scheduled to begin in December and will end on April 29, 2026.

Return to Daytona Beach and New Routes to Vero Beach

JetBlue is returning to Daytona Beach after a gap of nearly seven years. The airline will now offer twice-daily round-trip flights year-round to New York and Boston. Additionally, JetBlue is also starting flights from Vero Beach Regional Airport and Daytona Beach International Airport to New York and Boston. Introductory fares for these routes start at $59 and can be booked one-way starting from August 17 for flights from December 4 to February 11, 2026. However, there are blackout dates from December 18 to January 5, 2026.

JetBlue’s Extensive Flight Network

JetBlue operates flights to over 100 cities within the United States and internationally, with destinations in Canada, the Caribbean, Latin America, and Europe. In Florida alone, the airline flies to 12 different airports, making it a convenient choice for travelers.

JetBlue’s checked baggage fees vary depending on the type of fare booked.

– Blue Basic: First bag $35, second bag $50
– Blue: First bag $35, second bag $50
– Blue Plus: First bag included, second bag $60
– Blue Extra: First bag $35, second bag $50
– Mint: 2 bags included (up to 70 pounds each)
