United Airlines to Offer Winter Flights between Houston and Durango, Colorado

United Airlines has announced that it will be expanding its service in Durango, Colorado by adding seasonal flights between Houston and Durango. The flights will run from December 19, 2026 to March 27, 2027, with two weekly flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The flights will be operated using Embraer E175 aircraft.

This new seasonal service is an addition to United’s existing summer service between Durango and Houston. The airline also offers year-round flights between Durango and Denver.

According to Mark Weithofer, Managing Director of Domestic Network Planning at United, the airline is excited to expand its service in Durango and offer customers the opportunity to explore the city during the winter season. The new flights will also provide the Durango community with direct access to United’s hub in Houston, as well as one-stop connections to destinations across the United States and around the world.

Durango-La Plata County Airport is currently served by both United and American Airlines. American offers flights to Dallas/Fort Worth and Phoenix.

United’s decision to add winter flights to its existing summer service is a testament to the popularity and demand for travel between Houston and Durango.
