Data from Cirium, an aviation analytics company, shows that there are a total of 2,748 non-stop or one-stop flights scheduled between Italy and the US in May, offering 734,311 seats and 3,388,276,884 available seat miles (ASMs). This represents a 10% increase in capacity compared to May 2024. Let’s take a closer look at the top airlines operating on this route.

Delta Air Lines is the leading carrier on the Italy-US market, accounting for 27.66% of the capacity in May. They have 760 scheduled flights between the two countries, using a mix of Airbus and Boeing widebody aircraft. Their top route connects New York JFK Airport with Rome Fiumicino (FCO), with 67 flights departing from New York and 66 returning. They also offer flights from Atlanta (ATL) to Rome twice a day, and daily flights to Boston (BOS), Detroit (DTW), Minneapolis (MSP), Milan Malpensa (MXP), Venice (VCE), Naples (NAP), and even Catania (CTA).
