Major American Airports Refuse to Play Clip of DHS Secretary Noem’s Criticism of Democrats

The ongoing government shutdown has resulted in some federal employees working without pay, and the situation has caused tension and disruption in various industries. Recently, U. S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem made a statement criticizing Democrats for the shutdown, but not all airports were willing to broadcast the clip.

According to a report by Fox Business, several major American airports have refused to play a video of Noem explaining the reason for the shutdown and urging Democrats to fund the federal government. The airports that have declined to broadcast the clip include Las Vegas, Phoenix, Seattle, Portland, Oregon, Charlotte, North Carolina, Cleveland Ohio, and three locations in New York.

Noem’s message emphasized the impact of the shutdown on TSA operations and employees, stating that many TSA workers are currently working without pay. She also expressed hope that Democrats would recognize the importance of opening the government to avoid further delays and disruptions for travelers.

However, some airports have refused to play the clip, citing violations of the Hatch Act and Oregon state law. The Seattle-Tacoma airport expressed support for bipartisan efforts to end the shutdown, while the Portland location stated that they believe playing the video would violate laws prohibiting government employees from engaging in partisan political activities.

The situation has sparked controversy and debate, with a top Democrat aide reportedly stating that their party will not concede on their demands for the shutdown to end unless there are extreme consequences, such as “planes falling out of the sky. ” On the other hand, President Donald Trump is working to ensure that U. S. service members are paid during the shutdown.

In a recent post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump stated that he is directing Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to use all available funds to pay troops on October 15th. He also criticized Democrats for holding the military “hostage” with their shutdown tactics and called for the government to be opened so that important issues, such as healthcare, can be addressed.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt also weighed in on the situation, calling the Democrats’ actions “cruel” for forcing the WIC program for vulnerable women and children to run out of funding. She praised President Trump for identifying a solution to transfer resources from Section 232 tariff revenue to support the program and ensure that mothers and children do not go hungry due to political games.

In conclusion, the ongoing government shutdown continues to affect various industries and has caused tension between political parties. While some airports have refused to broadcast Noem’s clip, others are showing support for bipartisan efforts to end the shutdown and address important issues affecting the nation.
