Etihad Airways is known for its luxurious first class experience and is one of the few remaining operators of the Airbus A380 after the COVID-19 pandemic caused many airlines to retire the aircraft. While some carriers have shifted their focus to providing exceptional business class products, Etihad Airways continues to offer a top-of-the-line first class experience.
The Residence: A Luxury Above First Class
The Residence is Etihad Airways’ flagship first class suite, exclusively available on their fleet of Airbus A380s. This unique private apartment can accommodate up to two people and is considered a one-of-a-kind flying experience. According to the airline, The Residence offers a private bedroom, an ensuite shower room, and a separate living area, making it a truly luxurious experience.
Currently, the airline has ten Airbus A380s in its fleet, with six currently in service. Each aircraft can accommodate a maximum of 486 passengers in a three-class configuration, including 11 in first class (with two in The Residence), 70 in business class, and 405 in economy class.
