Qatar Airways Chooses New York JFK’s New Terminal One as New Home
Qatar Airways has announced that it will be relocating its operations to The New Terminal One at New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in 2026. This move will coincide with the opening of the airline’s first dedicated lounge in both New York City and the United States, covering an impressive 15,000 square feet. The decision to move to the new terminal and open a dedicated lounge reflects Qatar Airways’ commitment to providing an exceptional travel experience for its passengers, as well as the strategic importance of New York City in the airline’s global network.
The New Terminal One at JFK Airport will offer convenient access to the boarding gate directly from the Qatar Airways lounge, providing a premium experience for passengers. The lounge will feature high-quality food and beverage options, VIP check-in services, relaxation zones, prayer rooms, children’s play areas, premium dining options, and duty-free shopping for Business Class passengers.
In partnership with Qatar Airways, The New Terminal One will deliver an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure. The modern architecture, spacious interiors, and advanced technology of the terminal will ensure a seamless and relaxing journey for passengers, complementing Qatar Airways’ world-renowned onboard service.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. The New Terminal One is a vital part of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s $19 billion plan to transform JFK Airport into a world-class gateway. This will include two new terminals, the modernization and expansion of two existing terminals, a new ground transportation center, and a new, simplified roadway network.
