Qatar Airways Expands Codeshares with IAG Partners to Offer More US Routes
Qatar Airways has announced the expansion of its codeshare partnership with International Airlines Group (IAG) to include 18 additional routes in the United States. This move aims to provide passengers with more options for travel between the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East.

In 2024, Qatar Airways first established a codeshare agreement with IAG’s Irish carrier, Aer Lingus. With the recent enhancements, this partnership has now expanded to include 11 US cities, including Boston, Cleveland, and Orlando. Passengers can also expect to see more codeshare flights from Dublin Airport to destinations like Bradley International, Indianapolis, and Newark, with Las Vegas soon to follow.

The codeshare agreement has also been re-introduced with LEVEL, one of the leading long-haul operators at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport. LEVEL’s flights to popular US cities like Boston, Los Angeles, and Miami will now be available under the Qatar Airways code. Passengers can also expect to see more flights to South American destinations like Buenos Aires and Santiago under this partnership.

Thierry Antinori, Chief Commercial Officer of Qatar Airways, commented on the expansion, stating that providing passengers with more travel options is a top priority for the airline. This partnership with IAG’s carriers, along with existing partnerships, allows Qatar Airways to offer a seamless travel experience to over 170 destinations through Hamad International Airport.

Aer Lingus is equally excited about the partnership, with Chief Customer Officer Susanne Carberry mentioning the airline’s significant growth in North America and the addition of new routes with their Airbus A321 XLR aircraft. Passengers flying with Aer Lingus to North America can also take advantage of the US Pre-Clearance facility at Dublin Airport, making their travel experience even more convenient.

Lucía Adrover, Chief Commercial and Network Officer of LEVEL, also expressed enthusiasm for the partnership and the airline’s contribution to Barcelona’s long-haul connectivity. LEVEL’s modern airline model aims to provide a competitive and welcoming travel experience for passengers.

This expansion of codeshare partnerships is part of Qatar Airways’ continued efforts to solidify its position in the European market. Privilege Club members can also benefit from this collaboration by earning Avios on codeshare flights with Aer Lingus and LEVEL. These Avios can then be used for various travel and lifestyle rewards through the Privilege Club Collection.

In conclusion, Qatar Airways’ expanded codeshare partnerships with IAG’s carriers demonstrate the airline’s commitment to providing passengers with a wider range of travel options and a seamless global connectivity experience.
