The airline is also investing $2 billion to retrofit its entire A380 fleet, including adding premium economy cabins and updating the interiors. Emirates’ A380s fly across six continents and over 50 destinations worldwide. The majority of flights are to Europe, with 21 destinations, followed by North America (6), Asia (12), Oceania (5), and other Middle Eastern destinations.

The most frequent route for Emirates’ A380 is between Dubai International Airport (DXB) in the United Arab Emirates and London Heathrow, with over 40 weekly flights. Other popular routes include Bangkok, Manchester, Paris, Jeddah, Cairo, and its longest route to Auckland Airport in New Zealand, which takes approximately 17 hours. The shortest flight is from Dubai to Hamad International Airport (DOH) in Doha, Qatar, lasting just over 40 minutes.

Etihad Airways A380 Fleet

Etihad Airways operates a smaller A380 fleet compared to Emirates, with only 10 aircraft, of which 7 are active. These A380s have an average age of 10 years and a total capacity of 4,860 seats. The airline’s fleet consists mainly of Boeing 787 aircraft, with the A380s accounting for a small percentage.
