Delta Air Lines to Add 40 Nonstop Flights from Boston for Patriots’ Day Weekend 2026

In preparation for the upcoming Patriots’ Day weekend in 2026, Delta Air Lines has announced plans to add 40 new nonstop flights from Boston to 10 popular leisure destinations in the United States. This includes seven new routes to Florida, including the addition of service to Panama City for the first time.

According to Amy Martin, the Vice President of Network Planning at Delta, the airline is excited to offer nearly 6,000 additional seats for customers to make the most of the long weekend. The flights will operate on April 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, and 26, providing travelers with more options to reach their desired destination.

The additional capacity for Patriots’ Day will be added from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to various airports, including Panama City, Jacksonville, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Pensacola, Fort Myers, and Sarasota. In addition, flights will also be available to Charleston and Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, as well as Savannah, Georgia.

The announcement from Delta comes at a time when the airline is facing criticism for its use of AI-based revenue management technology. However, the airline has reassured customers that there are no plans to use this technology to set individual prices based on what customers can afford.

In other news, Delta has recently made changes to its ticketing options, including folding the base fare into its new Delta Main category and renaming Delta Comfort+ to Delta Comfort and First Class to Delta First. This follows similar changes made by other airlines, such as Spirit and Southwest, earlier this year.

Delta has also been increasing its flights to Florida, with new nonstop routes from Detroit to Pensacola and Destin-Fort Walton, as well as twice-daily service from Austin to Panama City and year-round service from Austin to Jacksonville. Additionally, Delta plans to offer daily flights between Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport in Panama City and LaGuardia Airport in New York starting in November. In February, the airline also announced the addition of three new domestic routes, including one from Fort Myers to Salt Lake City.

For those wondering about the history behind Patriots’ Day, it is not solely a Boston or Massachusetts holiday. It is also an official public holiday in Florida, Maine, Connecticut, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. This holiday recognizes the battles of Lexington and Concord and the beginning of the American Revolution, and is celebrated with historical reenactments, sporting events, parades, and the famous Boston Marathon.

Finally, for those curious about which Florida airports will have extra Boston flights in April 2026, the list includes Jacksonville International Airport (JAX), Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP), Orlando International Airport (MCO), Palm Beach International Airport (PBI), Pensacola International Airport (PNS), Sarasota–Bradenton International Airport (SRQ
