Spirit Airlines Passenger Shares Videos of Cockroaches on Flight, Receives $60 Voucher as Compensation

A Spirit Airlines passenger recently had a shocking experience while flying with the airline. Simone Beez shared videos on social media showing multiple cockroaches crawling around the plane cabin during her flight on Sunday, May 11. The incident left her horrified and she vowed to never fly with the airline again.

Beez shared two videos on her social media accounts showing the creepy crawlies making their way up the walls and on a seat. In one clip, a brown roach can be seen crawling up the back of a chair from the back seat pocket, while in the other, another bug is seen crawling in the crevice of an emergency exit and close to another seat.

The passenger’s posts quickly gained attention and many expressed shock and disgust at the situation. Some even suggested that Beez should have received a full refund and free flight as compensation.

In response, Spirit Airlines issued an apology to Beez and offered her a $60 voucher credit for her next trip. However, Beez stated that she would not be flying with the airline again and considered it a “one and done” experience.

This is not the first time a cockroach has been found on a flight. In September, a passenger traveling with Air India shared photos of a cockroach found in her in-flight meal.
