Cardiff Airport Welcomes Expanded Summer Services from TUI, Ryanair, and Vueling
Cardiff Airport is gearing up for a busy summer season with increased flight options from TUI, Ryanair, and Vueling. With direct flights to nearly 30 destinations and connections to over 150 global locations through Amsterdam, travellers have a wide range of vacation options to choose from.
Popular long-haul destinations such as Dubai, New York, Toronto, Singapore, and Hong Kong are now easily accessible from the National Airport of Wales. In response to the growing demand, airlines have added more frequent flights and enhanced schedules from Cardiff.
Ryanair, in particular, has its largest ever summer program on sale from Wales, with flights to Alicante, Dublin, Faro, Malaga, and Tenerife. TUI is also offering 22 holiday destinations with 45 weekly departures this summer. Vueling, a low-cost Spanish carrier, is operating up to 5 weekly flights to Malaga and 3 weekly flights to Alicante.
According to Cardiff Airport, there are plenty of options for all types of travellers, whether they are looking for a beach vacation, cultural escape, or a city getaway. Sun-soaked destinations like Cyprus, Greece, and Bulgaria, as well as stunning coastlines in Croatia, charming cities in Ireland, and vibrant culture in the Netherlands, are just a short flight away.
Passenger numbers are on the rise at Cardiff Airport, with a 15% increase at the end of May compared to the previous financial year. Lee Smith, Head of Business Development at Cardiff Airport, credits this growth to the airport’s upgraded facilities and its strong focus on customer service.
Smith adds, “Our route development team is actively working with both existing and potential airlines to bring even more connectivity and travel options to Wales’ Airport.
