Augusta Regional Airport Prepares for Busy Golf Week
The Augusta Regional Airport is gearing up for a busy golf week with an expected influx of visitors. Herbert L. Judon Jr. , the Airport Executive Director, expressed gratitude for the support of employees, partners, business leaders, and elected officials in executing this monumental undertaking.

Parking and Ground Transportation Regulations
To ensure smooth operations during golf week, the airport has implemented specific regulations for parking and ground transportation. All “for hire” or commercial ground transportation operators without a permit are not allowed to park on the curbside. These operators must use public parking lots for staging vehicles and picking up passengers.

During golf week, the public parking rates will start at a minimum of $2 per entry for the first hour. Parking outside of designated spaces or prohibited areas is strictly prohibited for safety purposes. Violators may have their vehicles towed.

Live Music and Local Talent
Visitors can also enjoy the musical talent of the local area at the airport. The airport’s Art Program will feature live performances by Josephine Johnson, Matt Dahlheimer, Adam Harris Thompson, Bill Karp, JaVonne Jones, and Fred Williams in the gate area.

Additional Flights
To accommodate the influx of visitors, Delta Air Lines will offer direct flights to several destinations, including Austin (AUS), Detroit (DTW), New York (JFK) and (LGA), Boston (BOS), Los Angeles (LAX), Minneapolis-Saint Paul (MSP), Nashville (BNA), New Jersey (EWR), Raleigh Durham (RDU), and Washington D. C. (DCA). American Airlines will also provide direct services to Phoenix (PHX), Austin (AUS), Boston (BOS), New York (LGA), Miami (MIA), Chicago (ORD), and Philadelphia (PHL).

In Conclusion
The Augusta Regional Airport is well-prepared for the busy golf week with strict regulations and added services to accommodate the influx of visitors. With live music and a wide range of flight options, visitors can expect a pleasant experience at the airport. The airport management and staff are committed to ensuring a smooth and enjoyable visit for all travelers. Copyright 2026 WRDW/WAGT. All rights reserved.
