Nvidia and Other Tech Giants Cause Stock Market Decline

Recently, the U. S. stock market has been facing a decline due to the diminishing enthusiasm surrounding artificial intelligence technology. On Monday, the S&P 500 lost 0. 9%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 1. 2%, and the Nasdaq composite sank 0. 8%. This decline has been largely attributed to Nvidia, a popular tech company, whose stock price has risen tremendously in the past few weeks. Investors are worried that the stock price may have peaked, causing uncertainty and potential losses. This concern is further amplified as Nvidia is set to release its profit report on Wednesday. Additionally, the cryptocurrency Bitcoin also faced a decline, dropping below $92,000.

The restrictions initially began at 4% but increased to 6%, causing disruptions for thousands of flights. However, the FAA has now rolled back the restrictions to 3%.

Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook is denying allegations of mortgage fraud made by a Trump administration official. President Donald Trump used this accusation as a basis for seeking to fire her, making her the first Fed governor in the central bank’s 112-year history to face removal. Cook has filed a lawsuit to keep her job, and the Supreme Court ruled in her favor last month. In a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi, Cook’s lawyers disputed the criminal referral made by Bill Pulte, director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency. They called the allegations “baseless” and the first comprehensive response to the referral.
