Air India, under the leadership of Tata Group, is taking steps to enhance the quality of ground services by introducing a first-class lounge at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. This launch is the first in a series of efforts to improve service standards.

The new premium lounge will be located at Terminal 3 of IGI Airport and is expected to open in the coming weeks. Similar lounges are also planned for Mumbai and Bengaluru, with a phased rollout over the next year.

According to sources, the lounge will offer an elegant design and tailored services to provide a luxurious experience for guests. This initiative is part of Air India’s strategy to complement their updated inflight products with enhanced ground services.

The airline has partnered with Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), a global hospitality design firm, to design the lounges. HBA is also helping refurbish the existing lounge at John F. Kennedy (JFK) Airport in New York.

The Delhi lounge will feature modern aesthetics, sophisticated furnishings, and ambient lighting, all aligned with Air India’s refreshed branding. It will also showcase Indian culture and heritage through contemporary art, decor, and a curated selection of food and beverages.

The luxurious ambiance of the lounge is inspired by Air India’s new identity, which aims to blend Indian warmth with global standards. The lounge will cater to first-class and business-class passengers, frequent flyers, and Star Alliance members.

On the international front, Air India plans to expand its lounge network to key global hubs as part of its long-term transformation under the Tata Group. The airline is also working on introducing new facilities in San Francisco, New York (JFK), and select European airports that handle its ultra-long-haul and long-haul operations.

In conclusion, the introduction of premium lounges at major airports is a testament to Air India’s commitment to providing the best experience for its passengers. With a focus on luxury and comfort, these lounges will elevate the overall travel experience for Air India’s customers.
