Hawaiian Airlines Reveals New Livery Celebrating oneworld Membership
Hawaiian Airlines recently announced the unveiling of its newest aircraft livery, showcasing its membership in the oneworld alliance. The livery, applied to an Airbus A330, features a purple oneworld mark and the phrase “Aloha a puni ka honua,” which translates to “Aloha all around the world. ” The airline’s iconic Pualani logo can still be seen on the tail assembly, while a stylized maile lei wraps around the fuselage.
Alisa Onishi, managing director of marketing at Hawaiian Airlines, expressed the significance of the new livery in a news release. “This design represents the essence of what it means for Hawaiian Airlines to be a part of the oneworld alliance – sharing aloha, ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi (the Hawaiian language), and our deep connection to Hawaii with more people around the globe,” she stated. “Language is a crucial element in preserving Hawaii’s culture, and by featuring ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi on our aircraft, we honor our heritage and bring the spirit of Hawaii to all the destinations we serve.
There has been no official announcement on when the new livery will enter service or which routes it will operate on. Hawaiian Airlines joined the oneworld alliance in April, becoming the newest member of the global airline alliance.
