Corporate Traveler, the leading small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) division of Flight Centre Travel Group, has unveiled its latest report, the “Business Travel Airport Guide. ” This comprehensive guide ranks the most desirable domestic and international airports, based on a survey of 100 travel managers at Corporate Traveler. These managers possess a deep understanding of the current travel landscape and were able to provide expert insights on the top priorities for business travelers when evaluating airport excellence.
The report ranks airports across several key categories, including security efficiency, convenience, accessibility, dining options, lounge quality, and overall improvement. By sharing this information, Corporate Traveler aims to assist organizations in better preparing their travelers for a seamless journey.
According to the guide, the best overall airport for business travel in the U. S. is Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, with 15 percent of responses. This is followed by LaGuardia Airport in New York (11 percent), Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (9 percent), George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston (8 percent), and a three-way tie for fifth place between Boston’s Logan Airport, Denver International Airport, and Los Angeles International Airport, each with 7 percent.
In the international category, Singapore Changi Airport leads with 21 percent, followed by Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport and London Heathrow Airport, tied at 16 percent. Dubai International Airport (10 percent) and Frankfurt Airport in Germany (9 percent) round out the top five.
Efficiency is a top priority for business travelers, with nearly half (49. 1 percent) of respondents citing efficient security screening as the most important airport amenity. This is followed by quality lounges (10. 7 percent) and fast, reliable Wi-Fi (9. 8 percent). Flight delays and cancellations are the top frustration for travelers, with 64 percent of respondents citing them as their biggest concern. This is followed by long security and customs lines (29 percent) and limited ground transportation options (5 percent).
Logan Airport in Boston (16 percent) was ranked the most efficient domestic airport, followed by Denver International Airport (10 percent), Los Angeles International Airport (10 percent), and LaGuardia Airport in New York (9 percent).
The “Business Travel Airport Guide” also features additional rankings, including the most convenient and accessible U. S. airports, the best airports for dining and lounges, and the fastest-improving U. S. and international airports for customs and immigration. These rankings take into consideration factors such as clear signage, direct gate routes, inclusive design, and efficient customs clearances.
