JetBlue Expands Transatlantic Service with New Route from Edinburgh to Boston

Starting from May 23 to October 25, JetBlue will operate daily flights between Edinburgh and Boston, one of the most popular and dynamic cities in the United States. This new route comes after the airline’s successful launch of the Edinburgh to New York JFK service last year, which has now been extended until October 25 due to its popularity.

Edinburgh Airport, which already offers connections to seven airlines and twelve destinations across the United States and Canada, is excited to add JetBlue’s Boston route to its extensive network.

Gordon Dewar, Chief Executive of Edinburgh Airport, expressed his enthusiasm for this new addition, stating that it demonstrates the high demand for transatlantic travel from Scotland. He also mentioned the strong interest in Edinburgh and Scotland from North American travelers, making this new route a valuable asset for both inbound and outbound passengers.

Daniel Shurz, Senior Vice President of Revenue, Network and Enterprise Planning at JetBlue, also shared his excitement for the expansion of their transatlantic service. He highlighted the warm welcome they received in Edinburgh last year and their commitment to providing award-winning service and affordable fares to their customers.

Jim Fairlie, Minister for Connectivity, welcomed JetBlue’s new route, emphasizing its positive impact on tourism and business in Scotland. He also noted the airline’s confidence in the Scottish market, evident through their quick expansion to a second route in the country.

With this new route, travelers from Scotland will have even more options to explore the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean through JetBlue’s extensive network from Boston. This new connection between Edinburgh and Boston is expected to be popular among both Scottish and American travelers, and the airport and airline are looking forward to a successful partnership.
