Villa Restaurant Group Expands at JFK Airport with Six New Dining Concepts

The popular food and beverage operator, Villa Restaurant Group (VRG), has recently completed the opening of six new dining concepts at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Terminal 8. This expansion brings the VRG portfolio at the New York travel hub to a total of 17 venues, offering travelers a wide variety of dining options.

The development of these new airside venues is part of a larger US$125 million commercial redevelopment project led by Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) Airports in partnership with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and American Airlines. This collaboration aims to enhance the overall travel experience for passengers at JFK Terminal 8.

Among the six new dining options are two Starbucks locations, a Shake Shack, and a shared space featuring Zaro’s Family Bakery, Dos Toros Taqueria, and the debut of Dos Toros Tequila Bar. These new concepts were carefully selected to cater to the needs and preferences of today’s travelers, offering quality, speed, and authentic experiences.

CEO of Villa Restaurant Group, Anthony Scotto, expressed his pride in the expansion, stating, “We are incredibly proud to expand our footprint at JFK Terminal 8 with six new concepts that reflect what today’s travelers are looking for – quality, speed and authentic experiences. From morning coffee to bold Mexican flavors and iconic burgers, we’re delivering options that elevate the airport dining experience.

URW VP JFK Airport, Ian Carter, also commented on the recent openings, saying, “Together with Villa Restaurant Group and our partners, we’re building a destination where great food, retail and design come together to redefine the travel experience. These new openings represent a significant milestone in delivering a best-in-class commercial program at Terminal 8.

With the addition of these new venues, VRG now operates a total of 41 restaurants across 11 major US airports, including 25 within the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey system. The company’s growing portfolio includes a mix of corporate-operated locations, ACDBE partnerships, and other strategic collaborations.

The expansion at JFK Terminal 8 is just one of the many exciting developments for Villa Restaurant Group, as it continues to expand its presence in the airport dining market. Travelers can look forward to unique and diverse dining options from VRG at airports across the country.
