In 2026, the New Terminal One at New York John F. Kennedy International Airport will become the new home of Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia. This marks an exciting new chapter for the airline at the largest international gateway in the United States.

The New Terminal One is a significant part of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s $19 billion project to transform JFK Airport into a world-class gateway. This transformation includes the construction of two new terminals, the expansion and modernization of two existing terminals, a new ground transportation center, and a simplified roadway network.

At present, Saudia operates out of JFK’s existing Terminal 1, offering nonstop flights to Jeddah and Riyadh. However, in 2026, the airline will move its operations to the New Terminal One, which will provide increased capacity and a modernized environment to support Saudia’s growth in the North American market.

With prime arrival and departure slots at JFK, Saudia will be able to introduce new flight timings and increase frequency on the Jeddah-New York route. This will improve connectivity and offer easier access to 12 U. S. destinations through its codeshare partnership with Delta Air Lines.

As Saudi Arabia continues to establish itself as a premier global destination, visitors are drawn to its unique blend of ancient heritage and modern marvels. From the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of AlUla to the stunning beaches of the Red Sea, travelers can explore a diverse range of cultural, historical, and natural attractions.

“We are thrilled to welcome Saudia to the New Terminal One,” stated Jennifer Aument, CEO of The New Terminal One at JFK. “Our team is dedicated to providing an exceptional travel experience that aligns with Saudia’s ambitious vision. We look forward to building a strong and long-lasting partnership with Saudia in New York, one of its key global gateways.

Saudia joins over 20 international airlines that have committed to operating out of the New Terminal One, including Air France, KLM, Etihad, LOT Polish Airlines, Korean Air, EVA Air, Air Serbia, SAS, Neos, Philippine Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Air New Zealand, Royal Air Maroc, Air China, China Airlines, Gulf Air, Qatar Airways, EGYPTAIR, China Eastern Airlines, Azores Airlines, Ethiopian Airlines, and Viva Aerobus.

In conclusion, the New Terminal One at JFK Airport will provide Saudia with a state-of-the-art facility to enhance its operations and support its growth in the North American market. With its prime location and modern amenities, the New Terminal One is set to become a premier gateway for travelers to and from Saudi Arabia.
