Cape Air to Offer Daily Flights from Long Island to Boston

MacArthur Airport, located in Ronkonkoma, New York, will soon have new daily flights to Boston thanks to Cape Air. The Massachusetts-based commuter airline announced that it will launch four nonstop flights each day between MacArthur Airport and Logan International Airport in Boston beginning July 3rd.

New Service to Fill Gap Left by JetBlue

This new year-round service comes after JetBlue Airways canceled its planned Boston route just days before its scheduled launch. This left a gap in service for travelers between Long Island and Boston. However, Cape Air is now stepping in to fill that void and provide convenient and affordable flights between the two destinations.

Modern Aircraft and Convenient Schedule

Cape Air will operate out of Gate B15 in MacArthur Airport’s central terminal and will use the Tecnam P2012 Traveller, a modern twin-engine aircraft designed for short regional flights. This state-of-the-art aircraft, combined with Cape Air’s outstanding customer service and convenient flight schedules, will provide an exceptional flying experience for passengers.

Affordable Fares

Fares for the new Boston route will start at $249 one way, making it an affordable option for both leisure and business travelers. With four daily nonstop flights, passengers will have plenty of options to choose from and can easily plan their travel around their schedule.

Partnership Benefits Passengers and Local Economy

The addition of Cape Air to MacArthur Airport’s list of airlines not only benefits passengers, but also has a positive impact on the local economy. The airport employs approximately 6,000 people directly and indirectly and contributes $600 million to the region’s economy. Additionally, this partnership strengthens the air travel connections between Long Island and New England, providing convenience and frequency for travelers.
