New Partnership Brings Improved Parking Experience to Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport
Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) has announced a new partnership with AeroParker, a part of Metropolis’ airport mobility platform, to enhance its parking and reservation services. This collaboration will provide passengers with a more seamless and streamlined travel experience, just in time for the busy holiday season.
According to Dan Mann, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority, SDF has seen a 7% increase in scheduled passenger traffic for the upcoming holiday travel season, with over 104,000 departing seats scheduled from December 21 to January 4. In light of this, the partnership with AeroParker will help simplify the travel journey and offer better flexibility for travelers in choosing their parking options.
AeroParker allows customers to book parking up to four hours before their arrival at one of SDF’s five convenient self-parking options. Travelers can also manage and modify their reservations online, including changes due to flight delays or cancellations. This feature was not previously available and gives passengers peace of mind when planning their trip. There are two booking options available: non-flex with no cancellation protection and flex with cancellation protection for an additional $1 fee. To reserve a space ahead of travel at SDF, passengers can visit SDFPark. com.
This new reservation system applies to SDF’s five self-park options: the Garage, Surface Lot, Premier East Lot, Premier West Lot, and the Express Shuttle Lot. The airport has invested over $8 million since 2020 in new or expanded parking options through the SDF Next Program, a capital improvement initiative for both the terminal and airfield. As a result, the overall parking capacity has increased by 23%.
With the integration of AeroParker and Metropolis, SDF joins an elite group of airports and transportation hubs that offer a smooth and intuitive digital parking experience to travelers. AeroParker is trusted by more than 30 leading airports in the U. S. , including San Francisco International Airport, Charlotte Douglas International Airport, and the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.
This partnership also allows SDF to provide modern, traveler-first digital services to its passengers, from reserving a parking space online to seamless entry and exit of the parking facilities. Metropolis is already working with over 75 U. S. airports, and its checkout-free technology is being implemented in airports like San Antonio International and is expanding nationwide. This integration presents new opportunities for SDF to serve its passengers and improve operational efficiency across its parking assets.
In conclusion, the partnership between SDF and AeroParker will bring significant improvements to the parking experience for travelers at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. With enhanced reservation and management options, SDF aims to provide a hassle-free and convenient travel experience for its passengers.
