JetBlue, one of the leading airlines in the United States, has announced the opening of its first dedicated airport lounge, BlueHouse, at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Terminal 5 on December 18, 2025. This project is part of JetBlue’s JetForward strategy, focused on enhancing the customer experience both on the ground and in the air.

A New Concept in Terminal 5
Spanning over 9,000 square feet across two floors, BlueHouse introduces a unique and stylish design inspired by the city of New York. The lounge offers open seating areas, quiet work spaces, and relaxation areas for travelers to unwind before their flight. High-speed Wi-Fi and power outlets are available throughout the lounge, catering to the needs of both business and leisure passengers.

The design of the lounge also pays tribute to JetBlue’s roots in New York, with curated artwork by local groups and a mural featuring the airline’s destinations in the style of Grand Central Terminal’s iconic ceiling.

Food and Beverage Options
BlueHouse offers a variety of fresh grab-and-go food options prepared daily by Union Square Events. For breakfast, guests can enjoy bacon-egg-and-cheese sandwiches, while lunch options include classic New York-style dishes like pastrami on rye and chicken Caesar wraps.

In addition to their food offerings, JetBlue has partnered with several local vendors to provide a selection of beverages, including coffee from Joe Coffee, teas and specialty drinks from local suppliers, and a variety of beers, wines, and cocktails from The Greats of Craft and Please Don’t Tell.

Amenities
The lounge is equipped with a range of amenities, including open seating areas for working or relaxing, quiet zones for those seeking a more peaceful environment, a game room with cards and board games, and a photo booth for passengers to capture a printed keepsake. The layout of the lounge is designed to cater to different types of travelers, without causing overcrowding or long queues.

Access and Eligibility
BlueHouse will offer complimentary access to certain JetBlue customers starting December 18, including Mosaic 4 members (with one guest), JetBlue Premier Cardmembers (with one guest), and Transatlantic Mint customers. From February 2026, specific loyalty tiers and cardholders will have the option to purchase limited-access passes. However, customers traveling on Blue Basic fares will not be eligible for complimentary entry or paid access.

Future Expansion
BlueHouse at JFK is just the first in a series of planned lounges by JetBlue. The airline is currently in the process of refreshing Terminal 5, with plans for over 40 new retail additions and expanded passenger amenities. The next BlueHouse lounge is set to open at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) Terminal C in 2026. This expansion marks JetBlue’s formal entry into the airport lounge space as they continue to strengthen their presence in New York and other key markets.
