Summer may be coming to an end, but for airlines, it’s already time to start planning for the next peak holiday season. British Airways recently announced their plans for summer 2026, with an increase in routes and thousands of additional seats.

The airline will be expanding its long-haul network from London Gatwick and Heathrow to popular destinations such as the USA, Caribbean, and Middle East. This news comes after the recent announcement of new flights to Rabat, Morocco and Graz, Austria for their winter schedule.

According to Neil Chernoff, British Airways’ chief planning and strategy officer, the additional routes will provide more options and convenience for customers traveling for business, leisure, or to visit loved ones.

Here are the new routes launching from the UK in summer 2026:

– Bangkok: Flights to Bangkok will now operate during both summer and winter, with three weekly flights in summer and six in winter. This adds up to 60,000 extra seats per year for customers traveling to Bangkok.

– Jamaica: An extra weekly service from London Gatwick to Kingston will be available.

– Miami and Dallas: The airline will reintroduce its double-daily flight from London Heathrow to Miami International Airport, as well as its daily service to Dallas Fort-Worth.

– Las Vegas: With an increase from 10 to 13 flights per week, customers will have even more options for traveling to Las Vegas from Heathrow.

– San Diego and Austin: 14 weekly flights will be available to San Diego and Austin.

– New York: All BA flights to NYC will now operate exclusively from London Heathrow.

– Saudi Arabia: Five flights a week will be available from London Heathrow to Jeddah and fourteen to Riyadh.

– Qatar: BA will offer 14 weekly flights to Doha, twice a day.
