British Airways Pilot Suspended for Breaking Anti-Terror Rules on Flight for Family

A pilot for British Airways has faced suspension after reportedly violating anti-terror rules during a flight with his family on board. The incident occurred on a flight from London’s Heathrow airport to New York on Friday.

According to witnesses, the pilot left the cockpit door open for a significant amount of time, allowing his relatives in the cabin to see him in action. This caused alarm among passengers and crew as the reinforced door is a critical security measure implemented after the 9/11 attacks.

In April, two passengers were removed from an American Airlines flight to New York after a woman attempted to enter the cockpit to question the pilots about a delay. A video of the incident showed the woman being restrained by flight attendants before the flight had to return to the gate to remove the passengers.

American Airlines confirmed the incident, stating that the safety of their customers and employees is their top priority. The flight eventually departed two hours and 25 minutes later than its scheduled time.
