Other Changes in the Airline Industry

The pandemic has brought about changes in the airline industry, and many airlines have made adjustments to their services and fare offerings.

– Spirit Airlines has reworked its ticket lineup to make the choices easier to understand and to highlight their high-value options. The airline has also updated its loyalty program and introduced extra legroom seating for “Premium Economy” ticketholders. – United Airlines now requires all domestic passengers to be checked in for their flights 45 minutes before departure, as opposed to the previous 30-minute check-in window for passengers without checked bags. – JetBlue has teamed up with Florida’s passenger rail service, Brightline, to offer a seamless air-and-rail booking experience for travel across Central and South Florida. Customers can now book both a plane and train trip directly on jetblue. com. – Southwest has announced a new assigned seating policy, which will come into effect on January 27, 2026.
