Bilt Rewards, a popular loyalty program, has exciting news for its members. They have recently added a new transfer partner, Japan Airlines Mileage Bank, which will allow members to transfer Bilt Points at a 1:1 ratio and use them to book flights to Japan, Emirates’ business-class seats, and more.
Transferring Bilt Points to Japan Airlines Mileage Bank
Bilt currently has partnerships with 20 other airline and hotel programs, most of which transfer at a 1:1 ratio (except for Accor Live Limitless, which transfers at a 3:2 ratio). The transfer process is expected to be completed within 10 minutes, which is consistent with previous tests of transfers to other partners.
It is worth noting that Japan Airlines Mileage Bank typically requires accounts to be at least 60 days old to redeem miles. However, Bilt members will have the advantage of being able to redeem miles within seven days after a transfer, even if their account is not yet 60 days old.
Richard Kerr, Bilt’s vice president of travel, urges all Bilt members to enroll in JAL Mileage Bank, regardless of immediate plans to transfer, in order to start their 60-day account aging and avoid waiting up to seven days for redemption eligibility.
