BermudAir, the first airline based in Bermuda, launched in August 2023 with initial flights to Westchester County Airport, Boston Logan International Airport, and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida. However, the airline has announced that it will be discontinuing its service to and from Westchester on October 24th.

Expansion to Newark Liberty International and LaGuardia airports will begin just a few days later on October 26th. Along with flights to Bermuda, BermudAir will also offer flights between Newark and Anguilla in the Caribbean. In addition, the airline plans to end its service to Hartford/Bradley Airport in Connecticut in December.

According to Adam Scott, the founder and CEO of BermudAir, expanding their service in the New York area is a significant step forward for the airline. This will provide both leisure and corporate travelers with more flexibility and convenient access to Bermuda. The Newark-Anguilla flights will also cater to a diverse market of travelers seeking high-quality island experiences. This decision to expand is in response to the high demand for reliable and easy access to Caribbean destinations.

Initially, BermudAir’s Embraer E175 aircraft featured a standard 88-seat configuration. However, only 44 seats were sold for each flight. The airline ensured that all seats had both window and aisle access, as well as plenty of space for carry-on bags. This was to ensure a comfortable and spacious in-flight experience for all travelers.
