Avelo Airlines Expands Nonstop Routes from Concord to Chicago and Nashville

Avelo Airlines, a budget carrier, has announced that it will be adding nonstop flights from Concord-Padgett Regional Airport to Chicago and Nashville starting in February. This expansion marks the airline’s continued growth in the Queen City region. The new routes to O’Hare International Airport and Nashville International Airport will operate four times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with one-way fares starting at $35.

Andrew Levy, Avelo’s founder and CEO, stated that these new routes are a response to the high demand for convenient, affordable, and reliable flight options in the Queen City region. Avelo will be the only airline offering nonstop service between Concord and these popular destinations.

The flights will be operated using Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft, and with these additions, Avelo will now serve a total of 10 nonstop destinations from Concord-Padgett Regional Airport. Some of their current destinations include Albany, New York, Orlando and West Palm Beach, Florida, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Avelo first launched its service at Concord-Padgett Regional Airport in May 2024 and established a base there in March 2025.

Concord-Padgett Regional Airport is located just a short drive from Uptown Charlotte and its surrounding suburbs, making it a less congested alternative to the larger Charlotte Douglas International Airport. This makes it a convenient option for travelers looking to avoid the busy traffic and long lines at larger airports.
