Arkia Israel Airlines, a leading airline in Israel, has recently launched its first business class service to Europe. The service will initially be available on the Tel Aviv-Paris route, with plans to expand to other European destinations in the future.
The airline has converted one of its Airbus A320 aircraft to include a premium cabin, which now features 12 business-class seats and 150 economy seats. This marks the first time that Arkia has offered business class on its European routes, following the success of its premium service on flights to New York and destinations in the East.
According to Arkia CEO Oz Berlovitz, the decision to introduce business class on European routes was made in response to high demand for premium products. He stated, “Following the success of the business class cabin on the routes to New York and destinations in the East, and in light of the high demand we are seeing for premium products, we are now launching business class on the Paris route for the first time among our European destinations.
The newly converted aircraft operated its inaugural Paris flight on Tuesday, with the airline highlighting this launch as part of a broader strategy to expand premium service on short and medium-haul routes. Another Airbus A320 aircraft will be converted to include business class in the coming month, with the goal of offering this service on additional European routes.
Passengers flying in the new business class cabin can expect an enhanced experience, including an expanded baggage allowance of two suitcases weighing up to 32 kg each, access to the airport lounge, priority boarding, and upgraded dining options served on porcelain tableware. The menu also includes an expanded alcohol selection and a variety of desserts.
Tickets for the new business class service start at $849, offering passengers the opportunity to choose a higher-quality and more precise travel experience. This move by Arkia reflects their commitment to meeting the evolving needs of their passengers and providing a range of services to suit different preferences.
In addition to the introduction of business class, Arkia has also made operational adjustments to its fleet by converting its first A320 to a business and economy configuration. This is in line with the airline’s goal of offering a diverse range of services and enhancing the overall travel experience for its passengers.
The launch of business class on European routes is an exciting development for Arkia Israel Airlines and its passengers. With plans for further expansion and a commitment to providing high-quality service, the airline continues to solidify its position as a leading carrier in the region.
