Allegiant Travel Company has recently announced its plan to expand its network with five new nonstop routes, one of which will connect Huntsville, Alabama to Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB). The new route is set to begin on February 12, 2026, with one-way fares starting at $39.
This addition strengthens Sanford’s position as a vital hub for Allegiant, providing travelers from northern Alabama with a convenient gateway to popular destinations in Central Florida. The airline’s business model is focused on catering to leisure travelers by directly connecting underserved markets to popular vacation spots, all while keeping travel costs affordable.
According to Drew Wells, Allegiant’s chief commercial officer, this expansion is a continuation of their growth strategy. He stated, “As a leisure-focused airline, our unique business model allows us to quickly respond to consumer demand and connect underserved markets to top vacation destinations. This expansion not only strengthens our service in existing markets, but also allows us to introduce our brand of service to a new market.
In addition to the Sanford-Huntsville route, Allegiant has also announced several new services, including:
– Huntsville to Fort Lauderdale, Florida (FLL) – Beginning on November 19, 2025
– Huntsville to St.
To accommodate travelers who plan their trips in advance, Allegiant has also extended its flight schedule through May 2026. The airline’s network of all-nonstop flights is designed to streamline travel, reducing time spent in airports so passengers can have more time at their destinations.
Tickets for the new routes are now available for purchase on Allegiant’s website, with schedules and the lowest fares listed. With this expansion, Allegiant continues to provide affordable and convenient travel options for leisure travelers.
