What is included in the new menu?
The new menu offers a wide range of dishes across all classes. For Indian cuisine, passengers can enjoy dishes such as Awadhi Paneer Anjeer Pasanda in the Veg Awadhi Thali and Murgh Massalam in the Non-Veg Awadhi Thali. Premium Economy passengers can also choose from Rajasthani besan chilla, malabari chicken curry, and malai palak kofta.
For international cuisine, First Class passengers can indulge in dishes like Japanese Teppanyaki Bowl, citrus tiger prawns, and oriental napa cabbage and tofu rollmops. The new menu has been introduced on most international routes, including flights from Delhi to London Heathrow, New York, Melbourne, Sydney, Toronto, and Dubai, as well as from Mumbai and Bengaluru to San Francisco, and from Mumbai to New York.
What inspired the new menu?
The menu has been curated by Chef Sandeep Kalra, who recently joined Air India. Chef Kalra has taken inspiration from the diverse culinary experiences that India has to offer, including Delhi street food and southern Indian tiffin. The menu also features international dishes that are popular among young travelers, such as Korean Bibimbap and Matcha.
In addition to the new menu, Air India also offers over 18 special meal types to accommodate modern travelers’ lifestyles and dietary preferences.
What else is Air India doing to enhance the onboard experience?
To ensure a great dining experience for passengers, the Air India cabin crew has undergone specialized training. The airline is also committed to reducing its environmental impact, with initiatives such as responsible sourcing, packaging, and waste reduction.
The new menu will be progressively rolled out on all international and domestic routes, providing a delicious and diverse dining experience for all Air India passengers. With a mix of regional and international flavors, the new menu aims to please every traveler, from those seeking comfort foods to those looking for gourmet meals.
