Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and Horizon Air now offer Starlink wireless internet service on approximately 150 aircraft. This includes all regional planes and 50 mainline jets, surpassing the company’s initial rollout plan.
In a significant development, Alaska Airlines has partnered with T-Mobile to provide free Starlink WiFi to its Atmos Rewards members. This service is already complimentary on Hawaiian flights that have internet connection.
To make the WiFi access process easier, Alaska and Hawaiian will launch an online portal later this month. This will allow customers to quickly join the Atmos Rewards loyalty program, which has no membership fee.
Starting in July, Atmos Rewards members will be automatically connected to the in-flight internet service.
Alaska Airlines aims to equip its entire widebody fleet with Starlink by the end of fall. This will offer passengers a seamless and enhanced internet experience during their travels.
