American Airlines Enhances Amenity Kits with Stylish Skincare Essentials

In an effort to provide a more luxurious and functional experience for its passengers, American Airlines has teamed up with Raven + Lily to design limited-edition amenity kits for its premium cabins on select international and transcontinental flights. These kits, available now and anticipated to continue through early 2026, feature top-of-the-line skincare products from Joanna Vargas Spa, reflecting the airline’s commitment to providing a high-quality travel experience.

Stylish and functional, the Raven + Lily amenity kits come in three distinct designs to suit different seating classes. The Flagship First and Flagship Suite Preferred seats will be adorned with a navy blue crossbody bag inspired by the brand’s popular Yami Backpack, complete with a hand-stitched kantha zigzag detail and removable strap. For Flagship Business and Flagship Suite seats, a sleek powder blue and navy pouch with a removable kantha-stitched wristlet strap will be provided. And for Premium Economy passengers, a structured magnetic leather pouch in navy or orange will double as a sunglass case to keep eyeglasses protected during the journey.

Raven + Lily, a women-owned leather goods brand, was selected for its beautiful and functional designs, according to American’s Chief Customer Officer Heather Garboden. The brand’s products are made with purpose, blending beauty and functionality, making them a perfect fit for the airline’s premium cabins.

In addition to the stylish and reusable pouches, each amenity kit will include Joanna Vargas Skin Care hand and body lotions, a moisturizing lip balm exclusive to American Airlines, enhanced eye masks, and socks. The airline has previously featured Joanna Vargas’ skincare products in its amenity kits and has now made her the exclusive skincare provider.

American Airlines is also preparing for its centennial in 2026, with plans to unveil exciting amenities to mark the occasion. Garboden mentioned the airline’s goal of providing comfort to its customers, particularly with the addition of skincare products to refresh and rejuvenate during the flight. With spa locations in New York City and West Hollywood, Joanna Vargas is a renowned celebrity facialist and skincare guru, known for her non-invasive techniques and plant-based skincare ingredients.

The partnership with Raven + Lily and Joanna Vargas reflects American Airlines’ commitment to enhancing the travel experience for its passengers. These limited-edition amenity kits not only provide essential skincare products, but also serve as stylish and reusable accessories for future travels.
