JetBlue to Open Second “BlueHouse” Lounge in Boston

JetBlue is set to open its second “BlueHouse” lounge at Boston Logan Airport on Thursday, following the success of its first lounge in New York-JFK that opened last year. The 12,000-square-foot space will be located in Terminal C and will be available for eligible JetBlue customers starting at 5 a. m.

This will be JetBlue’s first venture into airport lounges, a departure from its previous low-cost business model. The lounge will feature a central bar, dining rooms, a game room, and a quiet work area modeled after the Boston Public Library. The bar will showcase regional materials and design elements, such as a “Nantucket Blue” wood-slatted ceiling, copper finishes, and a custom lighting feature inspired by Boston’s historic street lamps. The game room will pay tribute to Boston’s sports culture with artifacts and memorabilia provided by local partners.

The menu at the lounge will also reflect the flavors of eastern Massachusetts. JetBlue shared a draft of the menu, which includes roast beef sliders, crab and shrimp rolls, cocktails created by Boston’s Equal Measure cocktail bar owner Jackson Cannon, specialty brewed coffee and espresso from George Howell Coffee, a selection of New England craft beers from The Publick House, and sweets from Madeleine’s Candy Shop.

In addition, JetBlue announced that it will now offer lounge access to all customers departing on Mint or Mint Flex fares, expanding access beyond just loyalty members, cardholders, and transatlantic Mint customers.

Boston is JetBlue’s second-largest focus city, with over 130 daily departures to 68 destinations currently operating from the airport. With the addition of the BlueHouse lounge, JetBlue is providing its customers with a luxurious and unique experience that showcases the best of the city and the airline’s renowned hospitality.
