Delta Expands International Network with New Nonstop Route from Los Angeles to Manila
Delta Airlines has announced plans to add a new nonstop route from Los Angeles to Manila, strengthening its presence in the international market. The airline will begin operating flights on March 28, 2027, with initial service three times a week and daily service beginning on June 7.
The route will be served by an Airbus A350-900, featuring Delta One, Premium Select, Comfort, and Main Cabin seating. This will provide customers with a world-class travel experience, while also showcasing Delta’s investments in Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
According to Delta’s vice president of network planning, Jeff Arinder, the addition of Manila to their network is a strategic move to further solidify their position as LAX’s leading global carrier and premier West Coast hub. He also highlighted the recent expansion of Delta’s Asia-Pacific network and the opening of their second Delta One Lounge at LAX.
With this new route, Delta will become the only U. S. airline to offer regular service between Los Angeles and Manila. This marks a significant milestone for the carrier, as they have not operated a nonstop flight to the Philippines since 2020. Previously, Delta offered fifth-freedom flights from Tokyo Narita to Manila.
This expansion of their international network at LAX is part of Delta’s efforts to enhance their customers’ travel experience. In addition to the Manila route, the airline has also recently added or restored service to Hong Kong, Melbourne, and Shanghai, and has expanded its domestic schedule at LAX.
Delta’s new nonstop route to Manila is a testament to their commitment to providing customers with convenient and seamless travel options. With their world-class service and strong presence at LAX, Delta continues to be a top choice for travelers in the international market.
