United Airlines Announces New Routes for 2025 and 2026

United Airlines has recently announced its plans to add several new routes, both domestic and international, for the upcoming years. These new routes not only aim to expand the airline’s network, but also provide customers with more travel options and convenient connections.

Domestic Routes

Due to the unpredictability of Spirit Airlines and its potential shutdown, United has decided to add flights between important hubs such as Houston, Los Angeles, and Chicago. This move has been praised as “disruptive” and shows United’s commitment to providing reliable and convenient travel options for its customers.

International Routes

United has also announced several “first-ever” routes, including a flight from San Francisco to Adelaide, Australia, set to launch on December 11, 2025. The airline is also looking beyond this year and into the summer of 2026, with the addition of several exciting new routes.

Split, Croatia

One of the new international destinations is Split, Croatia, a popular tourist spot. With a 4% increase in total tourist visits in 2025, Split is expected to continue to attract visitors. United will offer nonstop service to Split three times a week starting on April 30, 2026.

Bari, Italy

United will also be adding a new destination in Italy – Bari. This historic city offers stunning views of the Adriatic Sea and easy access to other popular destinations such as Greece, Croatia, and Albania. The new service will begin on May 1, 2026.

Glasgow, Scotland and Santiago de Compostela, Spain

United will also be expanding its network to include two new destinations – Glasgow, Scotland and Santiago de Compostela, Spain. These additions bring the total number of international destinations served by United to 46, making it the leading U. S. carrier in this category.

New Service to Iceland, South Korea, and Israel

In addition to the new destinations, United has also announced new routes to popular destinations in Iceland, South Korea, and Israel. These flights will provide customers with more options and convenient connections.

Reykjavik, Iceland

Starting on May 21, 2026, United will offer nonstop service between Washington-Dulles and Reykjavik, Iceland, providing customers with a convenient way to explore this beautiful country.

Seoul, South Korea

United is also adding a year-round nonstop service between Newark/New York and Seoul, South Korea, starting on September 4, 2026. This route will provide customers with easy access to this popular South Korean city.

Tel Aviv, Israel

Customers looking to travel to Israel will now have more options as United is adding more flights to Tel Aviv, bringing the total to 18 flights per week. The additional flights will begin on March 28, 2026.
